Mental Health Awareness Week 2021
Mental Health First Aiders
This week it is Mental Health Awareness Week. Earlier in the year we sent out an email giving our staff the opportunity to volunteer to become a Mental Health First Aider. We were astounded by the response we received! We now have 13 volunteers in total either trained, or due to be trained in the very near future.
This includes:
- 5 employees trained through the St Johns Ambulance Mental Health First Aid Course with more still to be trained.
- 6 employees have completed a NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace via online learning.
We actively encourage our staff to talk about mental health, but we understand this can be difficult… This is why we have invested in dedicated individuals from across all levels of the business to be Mental Health First Aider’s, so our employees always have someone they feel comfortable talking to.
Alternatively if our staff wish to speak to someone external to the business, The Print Charity can provide support via their free confidential helpline.
The Print Charity can be reached on 03332123534 365 days a year.
