Giving back to the local community
Supporting the local environment in which we operate is something that we are very passionate about here at Elanders UK.
We continue to form strong links with local education providers, particularly Gateshead College where we welcomed digital marketing apprentice, Martha Foreman, into the business and who, we are delighted to say, will soon be a full time-employee from September.
We have also forged an innovative and exciting partnership with Newcastle College, sponsoring a work-related module within its foundation degree in business management. Business students are working alongside our management team to provide answers to some of the biggest opportunities and challenges facing the business.
As we continue to grow as a business, we feel that it is only right to give back. With our headquarters in North Tyneside, we have a strong affiliation with the area and over the years we have always looked to support local community initiatives, such as The BAY Foodbank in Whitley Bay.
On the run up to Easter, members of the team kindly donated a range of Easter eggs to The BAY, with gifts coming from a range of departments including operations, production, fulfilment and client services.
Where we can, we look to support the foodbank throughout the year and at busy periods, Christmas being a prime example. Essentials such as tinned and dried food, hygiene products and toiletries are always needed.
